Glenn Sr., John A., 84, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Louisville, KY to Joseph B. & Elizabeth (Watkins) Glenn.
John was a retired Teamster with Local # 89 and a longtime member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary L. (Nugent) Glenn, a Son: John A. Glenn Jr., his Parents, and 2 Brothers: J. B. & Pat Glenn.
Survivors include his children, Gary W. Glenn (Linda), Jeff Glenn (Julie), Robert Glenn, Doris Dillon, and JoAnn Armour (Steve);
step-children, Tim Branson (Kandi), Terry Branson (Carol) and Vicky Shipley (Greg); 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren;
a brother, William Glenn (Anne) and a sister, Ellie Fogle (Darryl).
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 8:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy to may be made to W.H.A.S. Crusade for Children.
