BURNS, Cecelia M. (Perkins)- Of Everett, formerly of malden, August 15th. Devoted wife for 47 years to the late James M. Burns. Beloved mother of James Burns and his wife Wynn of Chelmsford, Mary Carlino of Lynn, Mark Burns and his wife Laura Squires of Malden, Debra Squires and her husband Paul of Everett, Matthew Burns and his wife Teresa and Steven Burns all of Malden. Dear sister of the late William Perkins. Cherished grandmother of Jim, Thomas, Justin, Janine, David, Danny, Michael, Jessica, Brittany, Christina, Ryan, Joseph, Kevin and Kelly and great grandmother of Joanna, Thomas, Patrick, Emma, Madeline, Grace, Lillian and Sadie. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Wednesday, August 20th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Jospeh's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Expressions of sympathy in Cecelia's name may be made to the Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice, 178 Savin St., Suite 300, Malden, MA 02148.
Born in Malden 82 years ago and a resident for many years, Cecelia, who was receiving supportive care at Wingate of Reading, passed away on Friday afternoon. Devoted and beloved by her family, in her earlier years, she worked for transitron. She loved her trips to the beach and took pride in her cooking especially on Sundays by cooking for entire family.
