Paul J. Burke, a 12 year resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston following an extended illness. He was 50 years old.
Paul was born in Boston on November 18, 1963, a son of the late Dennis Burke and Marie (Clifford) Burke. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and Boston Public Schools. He received his Associates Degree from Fisher College. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on September 14, 1984 and served his country with pride and courage. He was discharged on June 15, 1987 with the rank of Sergeant. Paul worked for over 16 years at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in the billing office. Paul enjoyed spending time with his pets.
Paul is the loving husband of 28 years to Deborah A. (Karos) Burke. He is the devoted father of Aaron Burke of Everett and Zachary Burke of Everett. He is the beloved brother of Dr. Dennis Burke of Norwell, David Burke of Revere, Jason Burke of Springfield, Virginia and the late Christopher Burke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul's Funeral Service on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial is private. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
