Obituary

Michelina "Dolly" (Amoroso) Harrington, a longtime resident of Stoneham and formerly of Wakefield, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 10, 2014 following a brief illness. She was 86 years old.

Dolly was born in Boston on February 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph Amoroso and Rose (Interbartolo) Amoroso. She grew up in East Boston where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from East Boston High School. Dolly has been a homemaker most of her adult life while enjoying her family and doing ceramics. She was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church Women's Guild in Wakefield and volunteered at the rectory of Most Blessed Sacrament Church.

Dolly is the beloved wife of 64 years to Daniel R. Harrington. She is the devoted mother of Stephen Harrington of Florida, David Harrington of New Hampshire, Daniel Harrington and his wife Colleen of Andover, Mark Harrington of Salisbury and Paul Harrington of Wakefield. She is the mother-in-law of Darlene of Florida. She is the loving Geega to Patrick, Meghan, Ryan, Kim, David and her great-grandson Carter. She is the beloved sister of Alfred Amoroso of Brockton and the late Anna Cultrera, Salvatore Amoroso and John Amoroso. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dolly's Funeral on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose/Wakefield line followed by her Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make a memorial donation in Dolly's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
