Obituary

Mrs. Nora (Lukaszewska) Smolski, 94, of Saugus, formerly of Lynn, died Aug. 5th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Adam Smolski with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Klemkowska) Lukaszewski.

She graduated from Lynn Classical High School. A communicant of St. Michael’s church. Worked during and after World War II at the General Electric Company in Lynn. Nora loved to travel with her family all over New England, and enjoyed Saturday night polka dancing. She will be remembered by her sons as a devoted mother.

She is survived by her son Stephen Smolski and his wife Elizabeth of Ipswich, her very devoted son Mitchell Smolski of Saugus, two granddaughters Laura Lukas of Feeding Hills and Katherine Smolski of Sydney, Australia, two great grandchildren Kiley and Ryan Lukas of Feeding Hills, her brother Henry and his wife Marjorie Lukaski of Peabody, her sister Barbara Burak of Lynnfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Celia Pisiak and Leona Sobutka.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Nadworny Funeral Home 798 Western Ave., Lynn on Friday at 10:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church 14 Summer St. Saugus, at 12:00 P.M. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Thursday from 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to All Care VNA & Hospice 210 Market St. Lynn, MA 01901.
