Sharon Milano-Magida
7/31/2014

Sharon Anne Milno-Magida, Our precious Sharon Anne Milano, resident of Canton, MA, passed away at her beloved Brigham and Women’s Hospital on July 31, 2014, at the age of 55. The first daughter of Frank and Rose Marie Milano, she was born on April 29, 1959 and raised in Hamden, CT. Sharon graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1977 and received a B.S. in Nursing from Boston University in 1981. Sharon fell in love with Boston after college, visiting every restaurant, museum, concert and garden she could squeeze in between her other love of 25 years, nursing. Her patients were always greeted with her gentle smile and brightly patterned scrubs with matching accessories, glasses and shoes. Her plans to retire to a little cottage on the beach were always pushed by her desire to take care of others and work at Brigham and Women’s a little longer. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Joseph Magida, and her three younger sisters, Lisa Robinson of Carmel, Indiana, Elizabeth Milano O’Sullivan of Durham, CT and Jennifer Milano of Hamden, CT. Sharon will also be missed dearly by her nieces and nephews Christopher, Alex, Alyssa, Kelsey, Melana and Hayden, whom Sharon loved as her own and supported in all of their endeavors. Everyone who met Sharon was touched by her kind and thoughtful nature. She was curious of the world, art, and writing. As Sharon always wished, she will be eternally united with her favorite waters off Cape Cod, where she spent every sunny day of the summer. To support causes in Sharon’s honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Anne Milano Memorial Fund 18 Ursini Dr. Hamden, CT 06514
