Obituary

Frances Videto Brandenburg of Tequesta, FL, passed away at the age of 91, on July 31st. She was born in Malden, MA and grew up in Andover, MA. Frances was a long time resident of Weymouth, MA, before moving to Cape Cod and then Florida. She was the widow of Frederick H. Brandenburg, Jr. and companion of the late John F. Sexton. Frances is survived by her five children, Marcia Martinson of Plymouth, Nina Brandenburg of Hingham, Cynthia Galligan of Plymouth, Sara Feloney of Weymouth, and Frederick Brandenburg, III, of Tequesta, FL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Frances was a graduate of Bradford Junior College and of Chamberlain Retail School. She was a buyer for the Gilchrist Department Stores prior to her marriage.
Frances was a member of the Old South Union Church in South Weymouth and was one its first women Deacons. She volunteered at South Shore Hospital for many years, was active in the Parents Association at Thayer Academy in Braintree, and was a member of P.E.O.
Private burial will take place at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
