Theodore “Ted” Janik, 90, of Dartmouth died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Royal Taber Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Bedford. He was husband of the late Gertrude D. “Trudy” Janik.
Born in Acushnet, he was son of the late Albert and Catherine (Baron) Janik. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for the former Morse Cutting Tools in New Bedford for 42 years. Mr. Janik was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed watching the Red Sox.
Survivors include a son: Robert Janik and his wife Kathleen of Portsmouth, RI; 3 daughters: Cheryl Gauthier and her husband Jules of Dartmouth, Lee Ann Arnold of Pawtucket, RI and Victoria Owens of VA; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
