Lena M. (Dagnello) Pietrewicz, 71, of Worcester passed Monday July 28th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. A beloved family member and friend to many, she leaves her husband of 48 years, Edward J. Pietrewicz, Jr.; her children, Mark and his wife, Kristen of Southborough, David and his wife, Amy of Auburn, and Diane Daniels and her husband, Mark of Grafton; six grandchildren; Ana, Eric, Alexander, Samuel, Bennett, and Grayson; a sister, Lucy Servideo and her husband, Frank; two brothers, John Dagnello and his wife, Cynthia, and Angelo Dagnello and his wife, Sharon all of Worcester; a sister-in-law Clare Dalton of Shrewsbury; a brother-in-law Richard Pietrewicz and his wife, Lee of Grafton; many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Trent and two brothers, Anthony and Albert Dagnello.
She was born in Worcester to John and Josephine (Dilorio) Dagnello. Lena was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and worked for the Worcester Public Schools for 20 years until retiring in 2005 as the Cafeteria Manager at Doherty High School.
Lena lived for her family. Her unconditional love, kindness, and devotion serve as a continuing legacy to a truly amazing person. She always placed the needs of others above her own and thoroughly enjoyed providing comfort to the people in her life.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, August 1st from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow in the Notre Dame Mausoleum.
