Julio Ortiz (83) died July 30th in his home under hospice care. He was the husband of the late Maria (Maldonado).
He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico son of the late Pedro Ortiz and Josefa Alvarado. Julio enjoyed cooking and was a member of the Iglesia de Christo Missionary Church of Christ in Brockton.
Survivors include 6 sons Julio Ortiz of Puerto Rico, Wilberto Ortiz of Brockton, Hector Ortiz of Providence RI., Nixon of Maine, Pedro of Boston and Luis Ortiz of Taunton, 2 daughters Wanda and Nilsa Ortiz both of Puerto Rico, several sisters and brothers in Puerto Rico, many grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel Monday Aug. 4th at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Sunday Aug. 3rd from 5-8.
