Rose (Carvalho) Manchester, 93, of Dartmouth formerly of Westport, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was wife of the late Arthur G. Manchester. Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Emanuel and Rose (Arruda) Carvalho. Mrs. Manchester was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
Survivors include 2 sons: Arthur G. Manchester, Jr. and Alan R. Manchester and his wife Paula of Dartmouth; a daughter: Debra R. Hill of Dartmouth; 7 grandchildren: Douglas, Craig, Jamie, Timothy, Joshua, Jeremy and Jessica; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Susanne M. Nolet and sister of the late Manuel and Joseph Carvalho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Tuesday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
