FALL RIVER… Theodore C. Polka, 91, of Swansea passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was the husband of Stella (Swiecicka) Polka. Born in Westerly, RI, he was a son of the late Ignancy and Sophie (Niemiec) Polka. He was the brother of the late Stanley, Joseph, and Walter Polka and the late Katherine Rodzen. He worked at the former Chace Mill formerly of Fall River and the former Pickwick Warehouse formerly of Somerset. He then worked in maintenance at the Swansea Mall. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of World War II. He loved to sing and play his harmonica. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son Richard Polka of East Providence, RI, a nephew, nieces, a grandniece, and grandnephews. He was the father of the late Robert Polka.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday at 9A.M. from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, Pulaski Street, Fall River. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
