NORTH BROOKFIELD: Frederick B. Corbett, Jr., 81, of North Main Street died Thursday, July 24 in UMass Memorial Hospital, 119 Belmont Street, Worcester after an illness.
His wife Mary F. (Rudd) Corbett died in 2009. He leaves three sons Frederick B. Corbett, III of Brookfield, Christopher B. Corbett and his wife Anne Marie of Mendon and Jonathan F. Corbett and his wife Margo of Northwood, NH, three daughters Cathy A. Emerson and her husband Russell of Brookfield, Tina J. Huckins and her husband Francis of North Brookfield and Sally Gendron and her husband Lionel of North Brookfield, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Jason Lacroix.
Frederick was born in Brookfield, son of Frederick B. and Ruby (Rice) Corbett, Sr. He graduated from the former Brookfield High School. He served in the United States Navy for 23 years as a dental technician and retired as a Sr. Chief. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid coin collector.
Funeral services and burial in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Brookfield Baptist Church, 262 Main Street, East Brookfield, MA 01515. J.
