Donald A. Whitehouse, 80, passed away July 24, 2014 at the Hosparus Pavillion.
He was born August 9, 1933 to Howard & Mary Louise (Bohn) Whitehouse.
Don was a hard working paint contractor through three generations with his Granddad Chester and Dad Howard,
He was an All-State basketball Player for Manual High School 1951 and an outstanding guard for Morehead State University, where he was Co-Captain his Junior & Senior years, and where he also met his wife of 60 years, Robin Goodpaster. He was inducted into the Manual Hall of Fame and his jersey # 16 was retired.
Don provided well for his family.
He was a member of Iroquois Presbyterian Church, South Park Country Club and Manual Alumni Association.
Survivors include his loving wife: Robin (Goodpaster); his children: Mike Whitehouse (Ruth Ann) grandchildren: Allison & Brian; Daughter: Veronica Lotze (Charlie);
Son: Don Whitehouse Jr. (Michelle), grandchildren: Rachel & Eric; 3 Brothers: Ronald (Eileen), Richard (Doris) and Robert Whitehouse (Germaine); a Sister: Barbara A. Kercher. He will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Iroquois Presbyterian Church, 970 Palatka Rd. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 8:30 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. and Monday after 10:00 AM at Church.
