Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Doctors Hospital, Mr. David Joseph Smith, 68, husband to Gloria Smith.
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He was a graduate of Boys Catholic High and was a graduate of Augusta College. He was a plumbing inspector for Richmond County He attended St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and was loved by his family. The family would like to thank everyone at Doctors Hospital for their love and care.
Family members in addition to his wife include son: Alex Smith; daughter: Jennifer Smith Haynes; stepson: Jason Case (Pam); stepdaughter: Tonia J. Deas (Keith); grandchildren: Nicholas Case, Ryan Case, Alexis Deas, Autumn Deas; brother: Fr. Michael H. Smith; sister: Anne S. Melanson (Joe); and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Fr. Michael H. Smith officiating.
