Claire A. Mulcahy, 88, of Nashua, NH, died Wednesday July 23, 2014 in Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, NH. She was born in Lynn, MA on October 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Kennedy) Mulcahy. She had been a resident of Nashua for the past year, formerly living in Hudson, NH since 2008, Derry, NH and N. Andover, MA. Claire had been employed for 47 years for General Electric in Lynn, MA, followed by Ametech in Wilmington, MA, retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry.
She is survived by her brother, Fr. Louis Mulcahy O.S.B. of St. Meinrad, IN; her sister in law, Catherine Haight and her husband Paul of Peabody, MA; and two nieces, Susan Murphy and her husband Thomas of Billerica, MA, and Claire Actis and her husband Stephen of Nashua, NH; and her dear friends Maureen Gillum and her husband Kirt of Hudson, NH. She was predeceased by her long time companion, Charles McManus in 2002.
A calling hour was held on Monday, July 28th from 9 - 10am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were at 10:00am in the funeral home.
