Laconia-----Phyllis R. (Milley) Mitchell, 86, of 227 Morningside Drive, died at her home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Mrs. Mitchell was born August 9, 1927 in Everett, Mass., the daughter of the late Norman and Rowena (Noftle) Milley.
Mrs. Mitchell resided in Natick, Mass. for forty-one years before moving to Laconia twenty-six years ago. She had been employed as an executive secretary for the Sears Group Office in Natick, Mass. for thirty-three years before retiring in August, 1989.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Laconia Athletic Swim Club and the 50+ Club of Meredith.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Donald C. Mitchell, of Laconia; a son, Donald G. Mitchell, and his wife, Michele, of Bow, N.H.; two daughters, Karen L. Rawley and her husband, Bruce, of Atlanta, Georgia and Sharon B. White and her husband, Robert, of Sterling, Mass.; four grandchildren, Aaron Mitchell of Manchester, N.H., Andrea Mitchell of Cambridge, Mass., Christopher Rawley of Atlanta, Georgia and Jennifer White of Leominster, Mass.; a great grandson, Jordan Griggs, of Leominster, Mass.; one brother, Norman G. Milley, of Michigan; two sisters, Irene King of Florida and Lorraine Squibb of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was predeceased by a brother, David C. Milley.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 4:00-6:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H.
