Russell Mitchell Palmer 91, of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of South Natick, MA died on July 21, 2014 in Murrells Inlet. Beloved husband of 65 years to Eleanor Sterling Palmer. Dear father of Janis & husband Richard Snyder of Murrells Inlet, SC & Jennifer & husband David Volpe of Sharon, MA. Predeceased by son Brenton Palmer, his late parents Harry & Ruth Palmer, & brothers Harry Jr, Robert, & David. Brother of Margaret Dunlavy of Andover, MA he leaves many nieces & nephews. Graduate of Natick High School 1941. Served in the US Marine Corps in WWII stationed in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Mason contractor in Natick, MA and was co-owner of Harry E Palmer & Sons Inc. where he worked until his retirement. Member of the American Legion Post 107 in Natick for over 60 years & long time member of Masonic Meridian Lodge in Natick & Parker-Concord Chapter. He enjoyed playing golf at Walpole Country Club for over 40 years & achieved 4 holes in one over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral services on Friday July 25, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral 4 Park Street,at Natick Common.
Visiting hours are Friday morning beginning at 9:30 A.M. prior to the service.
