Raymond L. Pearl of Natick passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. He was seventy-eight years of age.
Born in Framingham, Massachusetts on December 24, 1935, he graduated from St. Mary’s high school of Milford in 1953.
Mr. Pearl worked as a truck driver for over fifty years, beginning with Anchor Motor Freight of Boston and finally driving for construction companies in the local area, retiring in 2011.
He was a resident of Natick and a member of St. Linus Church for forty-three years. Mr. Pearl served as an elected town meeting member in Natick and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Framingham.
He enjoyed working in his yard and garden, traveling to the Cape, Maine and Vermont with his wife Janet and was an animal lover, especially cats.
Ray was the devoted husband of the late Janet F. (Carmichael) Pearl and together they shared forty-five years of marriage.
He was the loving father of Michelle M. Pearl of Natick and Scott R. Pearl and his wife Christie of Southboro.
Caring brother of Vincent Pearl and his late wife Eleanor of Vero Beach, FL, Joyce Andonian and her husband Ralph of Whitinsville and the late Richard “Dick” Pearl and his wife Rose of Milford.
Also survived by many sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, July 26th at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Linus Church, 119 Hartford St., Natick at 10:00AM.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
Visiting hours Friday from 4:00-7:00PM.
Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick.
