John R. (Tarbox) Starr, 81, formerly of Londonderry, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at his daughter’s home in Chester. He was born on March 15, 1933 in Boston, MA a son of the late Ralph and Stella Tarbox. Mr. Starr proudly served his country with both the US Marines and the US Air Force. In his younger days, he was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting. He was employed by Daniels Printing for many years, starting out as a printer and retiring as Supervisor of printing. He enjoyed going out to eat but especially loved a good home cooked meal. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rosita (Rader) Starr, his beloved children, Jack Tarbox, Lisa Culver, Gina Novak, John Kierkiewicz, and Judith Doyle, seven grandchildren, three siblings, Ralph Tarbox, Doug Tarbox, and Carolyn Siegel as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry with a funeral service to begin at 7:00pm in the funeral home.
