THOMPSON, CT – Christopher J. Kennedy, 48, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 surrounded by his family in UMass University Campus, Worcester after having been stricken ill on July 15.
He leaves his mother, Sally A. (Kochanowski) Mrozinski, with whom he lived; a brother, William J. Kennedy and his wife Deidre of Auburn, MA; 3 sisters, Kimberly J. Eldridge of Barre, MA, Karen J. Bacon of Webster, MA and Kathleen J. Kennedy of Putnam; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Henry J. Mrozinski, Jr. in December 2013.
He was born in Worcester, the youngest child of William F. Kennedy, who died in 1973. He lived in Webster for 8 years before moving to Thompson in 1974. He attended Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale.
Mr. Kennedy was a carpenter all of his working life. He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica in Webster. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
His funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26, in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org). Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St. Webster.
