George F. O’Brien age 86 of Canton passed away July 17th at the South Shore Hospital. Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High. After graduation he went to serve in the United States Navy during WW II and worked as a manger for New England Telephone for 40 years before retiring. He has lived in Canton for 34 years and enjoyed walking, golf, skiing, travelling and spending time with his family. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Doris (Walch). Father of Kathleen Silver of CA, Eileen Duff and her husband Michael of Canton, George L. O’Brien of VA, Maureen Leone and her husband Doug of W. Roxbury and Theresa O’Brien and her husband George of E. Sandwich. Brother of Jim of Quincy, Steve of Norwood, Gerald “Budge” of Walpole and the late Hugh O’Brien. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Funeral services are private. | |||||
