Claire (Murphy) McDonald, age 83, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John McDonald and is survived by her 7 children, Anne Joyce of Rumney, NH, James McDonald of Weymouth, Susan McDonald of Weymouth, Nancy Rondeau of Manchester Center, VT, John McDonald of Weymouth, Theresa Dupre of Rehoboth and William McDonald of Lawrenceville, GA. Claire also leaves her 8 grandchildren, Lauren and James Joyce, Paul and Renee Dupre, Chelsea and Jack McDonald and John and Samantha McDonald and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester before moving to Weymouth 57 years ago and was a retired MA Teacher’s Association employee.
Visiting will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, July 21 from 7:30 to 9 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St. Weymouth on Monday at 9:30 AM.
