Beatrice K. Curran, 86, of Derry, NH passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Aurora Senior Living in Derry, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1928 in Bangor, NY, a daughter of the late Clarence and Evalena (Bombard) LaCombe. She was a resident of Windham for over 50 years, formerly living in Schenectady, NY. She was employed as a nurses aid for Bon Secours Hospital, Methuen, MA and for Warde Healthcare, Windham. Mrs. Curran enjoyed vacationing in Northern NH, snowmobiling, playing cards, puzzles, and reading. She was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her four daughters, Sharon Rogers and her husband Dennis of Windham, Dawn Harnedy of Lawrence, MA, Patricia Sherman and her husband Roger of Tewksbury, MA, and Moira Alix and her husband Alfred of Windham, one son, Gary Curran and his wife Gail of Sandown, NH, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Ruth McDougall, Lorraine Proulx, Jeannie Dishaw, all of Massena, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Philip P. Curran in 1999, grandson, Jacob Laliberte in 2006, as well as her brothers, Lawrence LaCombe, Donald LaCombe and Francis LaCombe.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 10:00am in St. Matthew’s Church, Windham. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family.
