Paul Downs, age 63, passed away at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Thorne) Downs, his 2 sons, Benjamin P. Downs and Nathan A. Downs both of Weymouth, his 2 grandsons, Thomas A. Downs and Tegun Downs both of Weymouth, and his sister Marcia Marks of Weymouth. He is predeceased by his brother, John Downs.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Weymouth and worked as a Driver Salesman for Shell Oil Company for 30 years before retiring in 2004. Paul served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era serving in Germany.
His loves were camping in New Hampshire, fishing, riding his motorcycle, mini golf and his new dog Buddy.
The Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
