Obituary

WEBSTER: Raymond M. “Mike” Lenahan, 64, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of almost 42 years, Helen J. “Penny” (Henderson) Lenahan; three children, Michael R. Lenahan of Brimfield, Thomas J. Lenahan of Webster, Sheri M. Nowak and her husband Nick of Webster; his mother, Louise L. (Lessard) Lenahan of Worcester; three brothers, Richard A. Lenahan and his wife Helene of Oakham, David N. Lenahan of Worcester, John S. Lenahan and his wife Stephanie of Shrewsbury; two sisters. Nancy L. Madaio and her husband Richard of Worcester, Susan K. DiStefano and her husband Sal of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Emma Lenahan, Shawn Beicke, Abby Lenahan and Mackenzie Nowak. A sister, Linda L. Couch, predeceased him. He was born in Providence, RI, son of the late Raymond A. Lenahan. He was raised in Worcester, graduated from Burncoat Senior High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College.
Ray was a member of the Teamsters Local No. 170 having worked at New England Grocers for 30 years until retiring in 2002. He was a long time member of the Singletary Rod & Gun Club and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for 16 years serving as Scout Master of Troop No. 173 in Webster for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.
CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 P.M. on THURSDAY, JULY 17 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 A.M. on FRIDAY, JULY 18 in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
