Georgette A. Harris, 57, of Woonsocket died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Samuel Joe Harris. They were married on September 16, 1997.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Leo Joseph Belliveau and Marguerite (St. Germain) Belliveau. She resided in Woonsocket for most of her life and also lived in Littleton, Maine for several years.
Georgette was employed at several area textile firms and worked at CVS in Woonsocket for the past 9 years.
Georgette was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved music.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters Karen Demaire (Keith) of Albion, Judy Caro (Luis) of Webster, MA., Tina Godfrin (Marcel) of Hodgdon, Maine, and Connie Pepin (Daniel) of Blackstone. She was the sister of Lorraine S. Bernier of Cumberland and sister-in-law of the late Ronald E. Bernier. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, an aunt and an uncle, 4 nieces and many cousins.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Olo St. Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 am in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery on South County Trail in Exeter with a procession departing from the funeral home at 8:45 am.
