Obituary


Gilford---Patricia Dunlap Perry, 76, of Gilford, NH and Stratford, CT died on July 11, 2014 after a courageous struggle with ALS. Pat was born in Laconia, NH on February 19, 1938, the daughter of Kenneth Robert and Yvonne (Lesieur) Dunlap. She was raised in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1956. She moved to Connecticut where she raised her family and spent 25 years before moving back to Gilford, NH in 1988. Pat was an outgoing people person. Her jobs were always selected with the focus on engaging with as many people as possible as demonstrated in her choice of retail and service jobs over the years, with the one exception being Annalee, where she positioned dolls for more than 12 years. Most recently, she worked at Wendy’s in Gilford where she loved to bake cakes and pies to celebrate the birthdays of all her coworkers. Pat loved to travel and created many wonderful memories with her daughter and son-in-law in Bermuda, St. Thomas and Maine, and with her siblings in Las Vegas. She will always be remembered for her extraordinary love, generosity and thoughtfulness.

Pat is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Peterson of Monroe, CT and Steven and Sandra Zalik of Stratford, CT; two sons, Scott Perry and his wife, Robyn, of Shaftsbury, VT and James Perry III of Monroe, CT; two sisters, Jane Campbell of Arlington, TX and Sue Watson of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Skip Dunlap of Laconia and James Dunlap and his wife, Robyn, also of Laconia, as well as her sister-in-law, Bernice Dunlap, and her former husband, James Perry; 6 grandchildren, Jillian Savage and her husband, Jeremy, Jessica Peterson, Ethan and Maya Perry and Gene and Michael Perry; one great grandchild, Hailey Rosado; 8 nieces and nephews, Robin Leming, JoLynn Dobie and her husband Craig, Tod Chapman and his wife, Penny, Greg Chapman and his wife, Barbi, Benjamin Dunlap, Brande Watson, Ryan Dunlap and Thomas Dunlap and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Yvonne Dunlap.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4:00-7:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.
