Obituary

Carl G. Spingel, age 57, of Brockton died July 12, 2014, following a period of failing health. He was the husband of Lori A. (Briggs) Spingel, and son of the late Frank and Barbara R. (Tasher) Spingel. Carl was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School and following graduation, entered the Marine Corps. Carl had been employed as a driver by Land Air Express, Ryder Bus Company and Cardinal Spellman High School. He was an extremely Christian and faithful man who volunteered at St. Margaret and St. Colman Churches and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Seville Council 93. He was also an avid sports fan and had been a local cable sportscaster in the 1990’s.
In addition to his wife Lori, he is survived by three sisters Linda and Tammy Spingel and Michelle Cahill, a brother Frank Spingel, several nieces and nephews and best friend John Nickley. He was the brother of the late Karen and Caroline Spingel.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 9am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10am. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
