Mary M. (Balkose) Trainor, 101, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, July 13th in UMass Memorial Hospital. Her husband, James A. Trainor, died in 1974. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leonard W. and Joseph P. Balkose, and a sister, Ursula Montville.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of William J. and Margaret (Radzevich) Balkose and graduated from Classical High School and Worcester State College. Mrs. Trainor was a teacher at Chandler Junior High School, Grafton Street Middle School, and Burncoat Junior High School before retiring in 1972. She was a member of Worcester State Alumni Association, South Worcester County Retired Teachers Association, AARP, and was a founding member of the former St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
At her request, her funeral and burial will be private. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
