Obituary

Georgette “Rose” Moussally, of Boston’s South End, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 9, 1922, to Wadia (Sanky), and John Moussally. Rose is survived by her family. Loving aunt of Joyce (Choueiri) Signor and her husband Said of Winchester, MA and their three children, Jessica, Leslie, and Kyle Signor, all of Winchester. Dear sister to Edmond Moussally of Jamaica Plain, MA; Fred Moussally of Dedham, MA; and Mary “Honey” Aborjaily of West Roxbury, MA. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She is survived by many caring and loving friends and extended family, whom she loved dearly. Rose is predeceased by her sisters Julia Moussally and Josephine (Moussally) Choueiri.
Rose was a beloved member of the community. She was also a lifelong member of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral in West Roxbury where she celebrated many happy occasions with her family. She worked for many years in the garment industry with her sisters. In her later years she enjoyed volunteering at Boston Medical Center where she developed and maintained deep personal friendships. In 2012 she moved from her family home of seventy-two years on Montgomery Street in the South End of Boston, to her beloved home at the Susan Bailis Assisted Living, on Mass. Ave, also in the South End, where she became an active and happy participant in the life of her new community. She enjoyed a wonderful life surrounded by friends and family in a city and a home she loved very much.
Rose's Funeral Service was held July 16, 2014 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA.
Contributions in Rose’s memory may be made to Boston Medical Center or the Cathedral.
Rose was reunited with her parents and sisters at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
