Carolyn F. (Pelosi) Giardino, age 82, of Brockton died Thursday July 10, 2014 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Giardino. Carolyn was born in Brockton the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Houde) Pelosi and remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1949 graduate of Brockton High School, Carolyn retired from the Brockton District Court in 1993. She was a well- known and talented dancer and had owned The Carolyn Dance Studio for many years.
Carolyn was devoted to her home and family and cherished being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a fabulous cook. Carolyn enjoyed vacations with her family in Chatham.
Carolyn was the mother of Lynne F. Tarr and her husband Karl of Brockton; Paul E. Giardino and his fiancée Lynn Paola of Brockton and the late Marybeth Gaynor who was the wife of James Gaynor of Brockton. She leaves four grandchildren Nicole Pardo, Meghann Froio, Joe Buckley and Caleigh Gaynor and great grandmother of Nicholas Gaynor and Annabelle and Celeste Pardo.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday 4-6 pm. Her funeral service will be held Monday at 11am in the funeral home.
