Julia (Dodge) Wilson, age 96, passed away at the Royal Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday July 8, 2014. Julia was the wife of the late Elliot T. Wilson and the daughter of the late Louise and Mills Dodge. She is survived by her sons, Richard E. Wilson and his wife Harriet of Brookfield, NH, David T. Wilson and his wife Donna of Dighton and Alan “Skip” Wilson and his wife Karen of Hanover. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel, James, Sarah, Kate and Kristina Wilson and her 3 great grandchildren, Katie, Sam and Gianna. She is also survived by her niece and nephew, Louise and Christopher Hill of VT. Julia is predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Wilson, her brother, John Dodge and her sister, Josephine Hill.
Julia was born in Yonkers, NY and was a lifelong resident of Weymouth. She graduated from Thayer Academy, attended Wellesley College and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School. She was a devoted member of the Old South Union Congregational Church and belonged to many organizations.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Old South Union Congregational Chapel, 25 Columbian St. S. Weymouth on Friday, July 11 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday, July 10 from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston.
