Charlotte J. Lombardo, of Andover passed away peacefully July 4th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 71. Charlotte was the beloved wife of James A. Lombardo and together they shared nearly fifty years of marriage. Born in Boston, Charlotte was one three children of Frances (Termine) Marino of Boston and the late Louis Marino.

Charlotte was raised and educated in Boston's North End. She worked for several years as an aid at the South School Library in Andover, where she has been a resident for thirty-seven years.

Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a talented cook, always making sure her home was a warm and welcoming place where her family could enjoy each other’s company. She especially enjoyed hosting family and friends during the holidays and special family events. Nothing gave more joy than caring for her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them and was so proud of their accomplishments.

Along with her husband and mother, Charlotte is survived by her children; Lois (Lombardo) Maravelis and her husband Arthur of North Andover, and James Lombardo of Andover. She was the loving grandmother of Evan, James and Charlotte Maravelis. Sister of Sam Marino and his wife Beth of Plymouth, and Charles Marino of Boston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 374 Main St., Wilmington, Friday, July 11th, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at the West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover.
