Anne E. Rodrigues, 73

Anne E. (Buresh) Rodrigues, age 73 of Norton passed away surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank E. Rodrigues who died on May 19, 2002.
Born in Boston, MA on July 12, 1940, She was a dear daughter of the late Albert J. and Rose E. (O’Brien) Buresh.
She grew up in South Boston and was a graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston and Burdett College in Boston.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Rodrigues had served as the Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Norton. Following a career of 27 years at the town hall, she retired in 2010.
When younger, Anne had worked at the Shawmut Bank in Boston where she met the love of her life; her late husband Frank.
A resident of Norton for the past 45 years, Anne was a familiar face around town, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Her favorite times spent were those amongst family and friends. Her remarkable personality and wonderful sense of humor easily made her a new friend to whomever she met.
For quieter times, she enjoyed being in the comfort of her home, watching her favorite shows of Law & Order, accompanied by a glass of her favorite wine.
Anne’s other interests including growing flowers in her house, relaxing by the pool at the Norton Country Club, cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots, and dining out at Alberto’s Restaurant in Norton.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Kristen A. Rodrigues of Taunton and Mark E. Rodrigues of Norton. She was the sister of Joan Leavitt of Weymouth and the late James Buresh and Albert “Sonny” Buresh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Common Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
