Francisca Lopes (77) of Brockton died July 4th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born in S. Lourenco, Fogo, Cape Verde daughter of the late George Lopes and Maria Daluz Gomes. Francisca was a communicant of St Edith Stein Church, loved listening to traditional Cape Verdean music and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include 6 sons, Vital Alves, Jose Pires, Joao DeBarros all of Brockton, Manuel Antonio Gomes of Fogo, Arthur Gomes Alves of Praia, CV and Mario Rui Gomes of Sal, CV, 2 daughters Marcilina Gomes Correia and Maria Ilione Gomes Alves both of Praia CV, one sister Antonia Gomes of Boston, many grand and great grandchildren.
CHANGE OF TIME
Funeral Services will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Wed. July 9th at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St Edith Stein Church at 10:30 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday July 8th from 5-9 pm.
