Mr. Ronald J. Machado, of North Dighton, died Wednesday, July 2 at his residence following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Ridley) Machado. He was born 65 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late William and Irene (Guillemette) Machado. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong area resident. Prior to his retirement, Ronald had been employed as a Construction Supervisor for Brophy and Phillips of Brockton for 20 years. He was previously employed at several area construction firms. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dancing and listening to music, and was an avid football fan.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: 1 son: Thomas Machado and his wife, Crystal of No. Dighton; 1 daughter: Laura Souza and her husband, Brian of No. Dighton; 1 brother: Robert Machado and his wife, Edith of North Carolina; 5 grandchildren: Zachary Souza, Benjamin Souza, Thomas Jon Souza, Jace Machado and Mallye Hutchins, all of No. Dighton, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Visitation will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Sunday, July 6 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Collation will follow at the Polish-American Citizens Club, 314 Bay Street, Sunday at 7:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
