Obituary

Ronald Nelson Nickles of Kingston passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at his home. He was sixty-seven years old.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl and Ruth (Johnson) Nickles.

Ron was raised in Natick, a 1965 graduate of Natick High School and then served our country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He continued his education at Quinsigamond Community College and graduated from Lowell University.

Mr. Nickles worked as an IT Computer Specialist with KHJ of Boston for ten years and finally with Partners HealthCare of Boston for over five years.

He was a member of the Franklin Jaycee’s and the Ocean State Catalina Association of Rhode Island where he and his wife Ann enjoyed many sailing adventures with friends.

Ron was the devoted husband of Ann (Sibley) Nickles of Kingston and together they shared forty-two years of marriage.

He was the loving father of Jonathan P. Nickles and his wife Beth of Kingston and Kristopher M. Nickles and his wife Heather of Wake Forest, NC.

Cherished grandfather of Alice, Edward and Thomas Nickles.

Caring brother of David Nickles and his wife Joan of Getzville, NY and Sandra Wenig and her husband Raymond of Hilton Head, NC.

His Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
