Genevieve "Gen" R. (O'Connell) Elia, 88, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, Gen was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a 1943 graduate of Lawrence High School. She had worked as a Librarian for the Defense Logistics Agency in Boston, MA, retiring after many years of service.
The widow of Joseph J. Elia who passed away in 1996, family members include:
her son Maurice C. Poulin and his wife Eileen of Medford Lakes, NJ, and a granddaughter: Jenna J. Poulin of Tampa, FL. Gen was predeceased by her sister Dorothy O'Connell.
