New Bedford – Theophile Viera Jr, age 67 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at home with his family at his side. He was the loving Companion of Catherine M. Gibbons and the son of the late Mary (Santos) and Theophile Viera, he was born in New Bedford where he lived all his life.
Mr. Viera’s family includes his Companion; 6 children: David Viera of Dartmouth, Michael Viera of New York, Jason Viera of New Bedford, Tammy Gibbons of New Bedford, and Lorraine Burgo of New Bedford, and father of the late Brian Viera. He is also survived by his brother John K. Viera of Rhode Island, as well as 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. with a service to follow at 11:00 A.M. and burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
