Obituary


Richard Zelinski, 56, of Haverhill passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 22nd. Richard was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, son of Nancy Newton and Walter

Zelinski. He enlisted in the United States Army where he was stationed in Giesen, Germany and later enlisted in the National Guard. Richard worked for many

years at Kevlin Corp./Cobham Defense Systems as a test lab supervisor. In his free time he enjoyed martial arts, SCUBA diving, working out in the early morning hours, but most of all playing tennis at Cedardale (where he was a member). He was a committed father who deeply loved his family and firmly believed in the dignity of labor. He will be terribly missed.



Richard is survived by: his mother, Nancy Newton of Lakeland, FL; a son, Corey V. Zelinski of Haverhill; two brothers, Arthur Guillette and his wife Dorothy of

Quitman, GA; Walter Zelinski and his wife Celia of Rockway, NJ; a sister, Suzanne Zelinski of Norwalk, CT; a niece, Victoria Zelinski; two nephews, Walter Zelinski and A.J. Guillette. Richard is predeceased by his father, Walter Zelinski.



There will be no calling hours all those who wish to pay respects are invited to attend a Solemn High Requiem Mass in the Traditional Latin Rite, to take place on Wednesday, July 2 at 10:30 a.m., at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church on 270 Elliot St. in Newton, MA, with burial to take place at a later date.
