Obituary

Tressa B. (Kehner) Pappo died peacefully on June 27, 2014, surrounded by her family. Tressa was born on December 29, 1918 on a small farm in southern Missouri. She was the eldest child of William and Mae Kehner. Tressa moved to Malden with her husband John Pappo in 1945 at the end of his service in WWII. They shared 54 years of marriage and raised five children. Tressa was the devoted mother of two daughters: Gwen Cioffi and her husband David of Wakefield and Cynthia Scibelli of Malden; also three sons, Carl Pappo and his wife Carmella of Melrose, John Pappo Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Malden, and Christopher Pappo and his wife Lisa of Philadelphia. She loved books, country music, and Democratic politics and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for many years. Most of all Tressa loved her family. She was predeceased by two brothers: Curtis and Kenneth Kehner, and is survived by three sisters and a brother: Gertrude Rogers of MO, Virginia Marchbank of FL, Laverna (Wallace) Kremer of DE, and Robert Kehner and his wife Marilyn of MO. Tressa was the proud and loving nana to all her grandchildren: David Cioffi and his wife Carolyn of Medford, Tressa Snydeman and her husband Richard of Reading, Carl Pappo and his wife Amy of Melrose, Mark Pappo of East Boston, Alfred Pappo and his wife Erin of Medford, Lisa Pappo and her partner Mark Thomas of Everett, John Pappo III of Okinawa, Amy Macaluso and Anthony Pappo both of Malden, Gina and Leann Scibelli of NY, Daniel Pappo of Seattle, Edward Pappo of Washington, DC and Emily Pappo of Philadelphia. She also leaves thirteen much loved great grandchildren and three great-great granddaughters. At the request of the family funeral service and burial will be private.
