Obituary

Mr. Robert A. “Red” Williams, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 28 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Eileen (O’Connor) Williams. He was born 79 years ago in South Boston, the son of the late Dewey and Sarah (Tagen) Williams. He was educated in South Boston and had been a Taunton resident for the past 31 years. Prior to his retirement, Red had been employed as an electrician for the I.B.E.W Local # 103 for 55 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a former member of the Taunton Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed traveling and socializing with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: 4 sons: David Williams of Bridgewater, Steven Williams and his wife, Vicki of Plymouth, Keith Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sean O’Connor of Taunton; 2 daughters: Debra Dinneen and her husband, Kevin of Plymouth, and Cheryl Randall of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a niece. Red was also the brother of the late Louise Hilton of Virginia.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, July 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow the Visiting Hours, Wednesday, at 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
