David J. Curry, age 28, of Foxboro passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 23, 2014 as the result of an accident in Mansfield.
Born in Norwood, MA 0n November 12, 1985 he was the beloved son of Bryan E. and Catherine T. (Stone) Curry of Foxboro and the loving boyfriend of Lara Andrews and her family of Norfolk.
David grew up in Foxboro and was a 2004 graduate of the Sabis Regional Charter School in Foxboro. He continued his education by attending Massasoit Community College in Brockton and was currently taking online classes from the University of Phoenix.
David was a self-employed Disc Jockey and for over five years performed under the name of “DJ DC”.
He had previously worked at Monkey Sports in Norwood and at the Pro Shop at Norfolk Arena.
His favorite times spent were those with his loving family, his girlfriend Lara; which included staying at her families beach house in Narragansett, and especially the hiking trips at the Foxboro State Forest with his loyal companion and best friend “Nakota”
David was quite knowledgeable on current events, He enjoyed history, writing and was currently pursuing a career to become a lawyer.
His other interests included hockey, listening to music, cooking, and hanging out with his friends playing pool and card games.
In addition to his parents, his girlfriend and dog Nakota he was the dear nephew of Steven Curry and his wife Jane of Rhode Island, John Stone, Jr. of Wrentham, Alice Zarrillo and her husband Louis of Norton, Joyce Warburton of Attleboro and the late William Stone. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Monday, June 30th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 29th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
