Agnes (Cabral) Soares, age 86 of Fall River, passed away on June 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Soares and the daughter of the late Manuel & Theresa (Benevides) Cabral. Prior to retiring, Agnes worked as an Examiner in the Textile Industry, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War, Fall River, and a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
She is survived by her son: Carl L. Soares of Fall River, and his fiancé Diane Monteiro; grandchildren: Lisa Soares, Carl Soares Jr., Derek Catalano, Jared Fournier, and Brandon Fournier; great grandchildren: Colin Fournier, Craig Dias, Nathan Pereira, Jared Fournier Jr., Talia Catalano, & Kayla Monteiro; great-great grandson: Jayden Dias. She was the sister of the late James, Arthur, Eva, & Laura Cabral, Emily Stevenson, Alice Viveiros, Mamie Perry, & Hilda Souza.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY with calling hours from 7:30 -9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
