Barton, VT – Mary A. (Espinola) Duma, 93 of Newport, VT and formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014 at Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton. She was the wife of the late William Duma.
Born in Lawrence, MA on January 12, 1921, Mary was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Cunha) Espinola. She attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. She worked as an assembler at Western Electric for over 20 years until her retirement. She had been a member of the Methuen Senior Activity Center, where she helped with their Meals on Wheels program.
Mary will be deeply missed by her 2 sons, William J. Duma and his wife, Rose Marie of Newport, VT and Joseph Duma and his wife, Cynthia of Methuen; her 4 grandchildren, Tara, Eric, Katherine, and Bethany; and her several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Mary’s life by gathering for her funeral service on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Mary’s honor, memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
