New Bedford – Alice A. Lima, age 91 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Antone Lima and the daughter of the late Edna (Winons) and George Allhusen. Mrs. Lima was born in Mt. Kisco, New York moved to the New Bedford area in 1950 and has lived here since, she worked at several hospitals as a Nurse until her retirement. Alice was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Woman’s Organization.
She leaves behind her sons: Edward Lima of California, John Lima of N. Attleboro and stepson Anthony Lima as well as 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, June 25, 2014, beginning in the funeral home at 9 A.M. and continuing with a service at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend.
