FALL RIVER… Sheila M. (Machado) Silvia, 60 of Fall River, passed away June 14, 2014 at St. Anne’s Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Larocque) Machado and had been a life-long resident of this city.
Mrs. Silvia loved working with people, especially the elderly. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Catholic Memorial Home for 18 Years before retiring in 2003. Sheila was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Fall River and enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, being at the beach, cookouts, yard sales, flea markets, and traveling to New Hampshire. An avid Elvis fan, she liked playing word games with her friends on Facebook, playing cards and board games, dancing, her beloved bird Buddy and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter: Lisa Campbell and her two children, Danielle and Tyler of Fall River, and her son: Christopher Silvia, his wife Joann and his two daughters: Samantha and Brooke all of Fall River, 2 nephews: Alan and Michael Machado, both of Somerset, several cousins and friends. She was sister of the late Joseph Machado.
Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 7 PM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 – 7 PM prior to the service.
