Obituary

Ernestine May Brousseau Robbins Perkins passed away at Regency Heights on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Ernestine was born in Ledyard on December 12, 1916 to Ray E. and Mary E. Pierce Willcox. She was predeceased by her first husband Adrian Brousseau, her second husband Cephas B. Robbins, Sr. and her third husband John E. Perkins.

She is survived by three children: Rita Brousseau of Lefebvre of N. Grosvenordale, CT, Cephas B. Robbins, Jr. (Dale) of Fayetteville, NC and Ernest Robbins (Marie) of Hudson FL. She is also survived by one sister Goldie (Red) Robbins of North Stonington CT and one brother Elmer (Rollie) Willcox of Groton CT. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: David Robbins, Melissa Robbins, Trudy Robbins, Dennis Robbins, Tammy Robbins, Ernest M. Robbins, Marylene Robbins, Jason LaFlamme, Christopher LaFlamme and Dawn Rivers Lord: twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Ernestine was predeceased by one daughter Annis Rivers of Worcester MA and one son William L. Robbins of Danielson. She was also predeceased by one brother and three sisters Ray (Buster) Willcox of Ledyard CT, Sadie Greene of Ledyard CT, Minnie Perkins of Waterford CT and Phoebe Coates of Ledyard CT.

May, or Grandma May, as she was known to many, was a kind and loving person. She loved animals. She lived a simple life and even through some difficult times she always had a smile for you. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She will now rest in peace. God bless you Grandma May.

There are no calling hours. There will be a graveside service and burial tentatively scheduled for August 16 at the Peckham/Brown Cemetery in Ledyard CT. More detailed information will be given at a later date.
