Sally was born in Worcester on May 30, 1920 to Ardmaven (Aslanian) and Garabed Pashoian. She spent many happy years in the Bell Hill area before graduating from Commerce High School, Class of 1938, and Worcester Trade School’s beautician program. In 1947, she married the love of her life, Ralph Yagjian. She was the owner of Sally’s Beauty Salon on Main Street in Worcester, for more than 40 years. She was a talented hairdresser and owning her own salon was a major source of pride and achievement. During her lifetime, she was an avid painter and loved to dance. She was an active member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, its Women’s Guild, and a past member of the Greater Worcester Armenian Chorale, until moving to Rancho Cordova, California in the Fall of 2012.

Sally was a devoted wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother. She had a humble, gentle, modest spirit. Never calling attention to herself, she was happy to be quietly working, helping, and giving in the background. She was kind, generous and loyal - a wonderful hostess who enjoyed family gatherings and dinners with friends.
